Frenulectomy

The Urology Clinic at RocklandMD Medical center offers treatments for various disorders and conditions of the urinary system (men and women) as well as disorders of the male reproductive system.

A frenulum breve, or short frenulum, is a condition in which the frenulum of the penis is too short. It prevents the foreskin from retracting over the head of the penis. The frenulum is the band of tissue under the glans that connects to the foreskin. A short frenulum can be problematic during intercourse.

A frenulectomy involves cutting the frenulum. In some cases, an excision is also made at the edges of the frenulum. This is done to produce a more esthetic outcome and avoid an unwanted protrusion on the glans and foreskin.

Please note that our urology services are available  for persons over the age of 18.

This service is offered at the medical clinic located in Town of Mount-Royal. Our surgeons have opted out of Medicare.
