For a second time, we have received the distinction “Accredited with Exemplary Standing”, which represents the highest level of recognition in the country. This distinction demonstrates our commitment and determination to offer safe, high-quality healthcare services to all of our clients.
For those of us at the RocklandMD Surgery Centre, the accreditation process represents an effective means of examining and improving the quality of our services on a continuous basis. Furthermore, it signifies a seal of excellence on our services, an accomplishment we are very proud of.
Accreditation Canada’s mission is to ensure that healthcare establishments meet the currently effective quality and safety regulations. Their requirements include:
- Building an efficient clinic
- Maintaining a safe clinic (infection control, risk management, etc.)
- Employing the right people, who work together to offer the services
- Coordinating and offering the services
- Maintaining health information systems that are accessible and efficient
- Evaluating the quality and achieve positive results
